Shooting steel targets at point blank with Team Never Quit frangible ammo

We tested out some 9mm frangible rounds from Team Never Quit. How close can you get to steel targets with high quality frangible ammo? Pretty dang close. Glen dumped 68 rounds into this steel target at point blank distance with no frag or splash at all.

Real-world feedback from an IFAK Life Saver graduate

Emergency medical classes are the most important training that we do at Independence Training. You are not likely to need a firearm to defend yourself, though we really enjoy that kind of training and it's exciting. However you are pretty much guaranteed to see a medical emergency or be involved in one, or multiple events, in your life. Our next IFAK Life Saver class is Dec 5 in Yuma, AZ. Interested in enrolling or interested in a class closer to you? Email us: Info@TrainingAZ.com.

"Want to thank Glen Stilson (Independence Training). Took his IFAK course a couple years ago. Before that I carried half ass first aid kits and didn't really know how to use them. I don't train as much as I should but every time I go anywhere an IFAK is with me and I look through it occasionally and remind myself what's in it.
"Today while looking for a deer my grandpa shot up by the rim, my grandma decided to come out and help. My grandpa has Parkinson's and while still a good shot didn't quite nail this one. So we had been tracking blood for probably a quarter mile and lost the trail. My grandmother decided to walk back to the vehicle which was nearly a quarter mile away. After a while I hear screaming so I take off full sprint. Not a lot of air up there so I was gasping when I got to her but was very collected and everything came easy.
"She was holding her leg and her pants were soaked with blood. After she told me only her leg was injured I immediately went to work. Cut the pants leg off. Very large flesh wound about four inches long ripped down to the shin bone but not an artery. Fairly large amount of blood but I was quick on getting out the gauze and putting pressure while getting out a bandage to wrap it up. Bleeding stopped pretty quick and my grandfather finally got there and took off to take her to the ER.
"This was not life threatening but it could have been. Thanks to Glen's course there was no panic and no hesitation and I immediately knew what to do. I'm confident I'd be able to handle a much more serious situation if it was within my means and I am very thankful I was prepared with everything I needed in my kit. Always thought it was too big didn't need that much gauze, but I used all of it.
"I highly recommend taking one of Glen's classes and getting several good IFAKs because shit happens."

Well done, Victor! We have sent him replacement supplies and we're proud to have him as one of our students.

Halloween Pumpkin Demolition at 500 Yards

We can't always be serious during training - sometimes you just need to have fun! We put a pumpkin (plus a surprise) at 500 yards during our recent Precision Rifle class at CowTown Range Arizona. Our students were hitting it with their .308 rifles but then we realized they didn't have enough velocity to set off the surprise, so the .300 Win Mags came out. A student fired but missed, so our lead instructor, Josh, seized the day and nailed it cold bore with his LRK Mechanical rifle.
